Kindergarten
Our math curriculum will cover numbers and operations, measurement, and geometry. The students will identify numbers and their meaning (one-to-one correspondence), comparing and ordering numbers, composing and decomposing numbers, addition, and subtraction. They will be counting the numbers on the calendar and number lines. We will explore number patterns( using coins) and what makes up a number pattern. We will explore time and learn how to read analog and digital clocks. We will measure the height and weight of objects and compare temperature indoors and outdoors. We will be able to describe two and three-dimensional shapes and geometric patterns. We will use data to read and identify information on a graph. As math is used in many everyday and future occupations, we strive to make sure that the skills learned here provide a solid base from which your student can build on.
