the study of the Bible and our Christian and Lutheran heritage.

Kindergarten

The students will be learning who loves us the most of all, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Our faith is what guides us in our daily lives and is applied to each subject your student will encounter here at St. Matthew’s Lutheran school. The bible says in Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child the way he should go and when he is older he will not depart from it". Your student will be learning how God created the world and gives us all we need to live in His creation. Next, we will study how sin came into the world and why we need Jesus as our Savior. We will talk about the sacraments: Baptism - to join God’s family and Holy Communion - continuing our relationship with God as we get older. They will know that they are not too young to share God’s love in the classroom, at home and everywhere they go. We can sing songs for chapel and choir presentations, make cards for shut-ins, collect food for our food pantry and other service projects as they are offered.
